At the Methodist Health for Life Center in San Antonio, we offer a comprehensive weight loss program that addresses the many factors surrounding obesity.
Our surgeons are nationally and locally known for their expertise in bariatric surgery and our staff is specially trained in the care of the bariatric patient. We provide comprehensive pre-operative, post-operative, and long term care following bariatric surgery. In addition to receiving an initial nutritional evaluation and mental health assessment when you enter our program, we provide ongoing nutritional education by registered dieticians and monthly support groups by our mental health providers.
Current medical interventions like Adjustable Gastric Band or Lap Band weight loss surgery are not a medical cure. Weight loss treatments help to reduce the effects of excessive weight and also help to alleviate the serious physical, emotional and social consequences of morbid obesity.
